Back in October 2011, I decided that I needed to do more in this life, and not just do more “work”, but do good things to help others out.  It was a pretty over whelming feeling, not really knowing where to start.  I loved working with animals, I love working with military Veterans, I love working with children, and the list goes on and on. I talked this over with a few friends and they would tell me their charities they liked and why. Then it hit me: Why not give to each person’s charity in their name? So, I started working on setting this up. To me, it reflected the character of that person, as well as helped out an organization that meant something personal to that individual. At the end of each year, I will tally up how much of that person’s fabric was sold and then give 10% to their charity in their name. I am hoping to make the first donation December 2012.
